Concept art for three enemy Boss characters for my group Capstone project that’s currently in the making. The video game we are creating is called Circus Freak, a circus themed horror 3D platformer, following the main character Alice, navigating her way through horrific Acts and battles in this game. In order to get out alive she must defeat all the enemies and obstacles.
I was in charge of creating the three characters concepts in the beginning phases of our video game.

All character designs were made through using Clip Studio Paint. Textures for props and enemy characters were done in Supstance Painter.

Material & game icons

On the right are game icons I created for my game art class where we were given the opportunity to create 6 new designs for game icons give a list of options. Each one was created by first doing line sketches then redrawn and rendered in color through photoshop. From left to right: Bone, Magic Cube, Flower Pendent, Bottle of Ectoplasm, Demon Eye, Book of Spells.

Below are material cubes of different materials made in Photoshop sketched then redrawn and rendered for my game art class earlier in the semester.

mana container concept art

This is a concept art of a magical mana container I created in my game art class where it stemmed from a steampunk concept use by people of a high mana class in a steampunk/ fantasy game. Concept sketch was done in 512×512 px and then rendered with color in 1024×1024 px using Photoshop.

animation “quiet night bliss”

The short animation was made for a 2d animation course as part of the final project. This animation is also black and white but brings upon more of a hopeful dream-like theme to it. It’s about the whimsical bliss of being a child again exploring the outside world. Animation was created through using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

animation “rainy day”

This short animation was made for a 2d animation course as part of the first project. The animation is centered on a gloomy character in a black and white world, living a normal life but would a hint of spark. They’re waiting at a bus stop, but when they see their reflection, a whole new perspective overcomes them. It’s a reflective piece of animation that I wanted to encapsulate with some deeper thoughts through this project. It was created through the use of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

Book cover concept art

These are variations of book cover concept art of a novel by Misha Collins I made as a personal project. I wanted to try out something new and create some graphic design art and Branch out from my traditional means of concept art for video games. For these pieces, I embody the tonality of the book in three different, with each underlying a of darkness but dreamlike feel at just one glance of the cover.

Designs were made with Canva. I came up with the color scheme for each of them beforehand and made the shapes and shadows shown in each cover using the tools provided in Canva. I also incorporated different fonts and stylizations for the title and name of author.
